TESTIMONIAL

Azzurra Story

My name is Azzurra, I’m 21 years old, and a university student.
I love doing sports, though I can’t engage as much as I’d like due to my studies, but whenever possible, I try to be outdoors in nature, to walk, run, and clear my mind.

I hope to graduate soon, find a fulfilling job, and one day have a family.
I lost my hair a long time ago, when I was about two and a half years old. During my childhood, I lived with alopecia serenely: I was too young to understand what was happening and to suffer from the loss of something I fundamentally didn’t know.

The difficulties began with adolescence,
when I started to understand the importance that hair has in this society.

If before I only wore bandanas or turbans, in those years, I began to try my first wigs. The first time I wore one, it was a significant change because I didn’t know what it felt like to have hair, and I liked myself immediately!
For some time now, I’ve been wearing the Lory model, and I really like its dark brown color and how the hair falls on my shoulders.

And also the fact that no one realizes it’s a wig. It’s very natural: people tell me I have beautiful hair!
So, for me, I treat Lory as if it were really my hair. Sometimes I tie it back in soft ponytails, other times I gather it up, letting some strands fall to the sides.

I adore long hair, whether tied up or let loose. I enjoy taking care of Lory, I wash it often in the shower with Plus 12 products, and I dry it however I feel like, sometimes straight, sometimes wavy.

Megan 4/6

No one notices anything, and deep down, neither do I.

To be honest, after 19 years without hair and nearly 11 years with a wig, I forget I have something on my head.
I often go out with friends and honestly don’t think about it.
Sometimes I adjust the parting or go to the bathroom to check if everything is okay, a bit like a “normal” girl, also because few people understand that I’m wearing a wig.

Lory is very comfortable, it feels secure and doesn’t cause irritation or sweating, obviously in the summer if it’s 40 degrees and I’m in the sun I sweat too, but nothing excessive.

“Wearing a wig helps me, I feel more secure and protected from prying eyes or the pity I did not want and do not want to receive.”

Wearing a wig helps me, I feel more secure and protected from prying eyes or the pity I did not want and do not want to receive.

The first thing to do when living with a condition like mine is to feel beautiful with and without a wig, to accept ourselves as we are. I like myself with my wig, and I like Lory!
One thing is clear to me: when someone falls in love with me, it’s with me as a person and not just for my outward appearance, which in my opinion is a real stroke of luck!
