Our Story

Fair Fashion is a family-owned company based in Bologna, founded in 1975 by Michele Barbone, who launched the business at the remarkable age of 69. From the very beginning, his vision was clear: to create high-quality wigs that combined craftsmanship, beauty, and deep respect for the individual.

At a time when wigs were primarily seen as fashion accessories, used to follow trends or change styles, Michele saw something more. He understood that true value came from offering a product that could restore confidence, dignity, and comfort.

A true entrepreneur, Michele spoke four languages—a rare skill in Italy at the time. His natural commercial instinct and international mindset allowed him to lay the foundation for a solid and long-lasting business, built on trust, quality, and human connection.

Over the years, the role of wigs has evolved. Today, many people turn to wigs due to alopecia, medical treatments, or health-related hair loss. Fair Fashion has grown and adapted with empathy and innovation, becoming a global reference in the world of natural, discreet, and medically safe hair solutions.
